The City Values Forum has three main strands of work all of which revolve around the research, development and sharing of best practice in relation to trust, integrity, culture and values for businesses in the financial and business services arena.
Importantly, it adds value in two important and cost-effective ways; acting as a catalyst for co-operation and co-ordinating work programmes.
As a result, following the initial research undertaken for the ‘Restoring Trust in the City’ initiative, a detailed programme of work under the heading of “Investing in Integrity” was commissioned at The Lord Mayor’s Conference on Trust and Values in October 2012. The programme provides a set of practical tools to support organisations which are working to live up to their stated values and who want their actions to match their words.
We have researched, assembled and openly shared current best practice so that all organisations of whatever size and resource level can benefit.
Details of this best practice guidance can be found under the heading of Activities.
A CATALYST FOR CO-OPERATION
CO-ORDINATING WORK PROGRAMMES
Engaging with all types of organisations, businesses, professional bodies and associations which share our aims;
Providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of best practice; and
Acting as informal, confidential clearing house for planned research, projects and initiatives.
Enabling delivery of projects with practical outputs to help organisations embed current best practice in ethics and values;
Convening meetings and organising events on issues which encourage the development of best practice; and
Seeking financial support so that these activities are self-funding.
